Since Eddie Was Infatuated With My Old Apartment, Join Me On A Video Tour Of La (Old) Casa De WSD
Yesterday Eddie and I spent about 30 mins talking about my first apartment in Chicago, and by first apartment in Chicago I mean my 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom Ukrainian Village palace. For some reason he was pretty infatuated with it even though it was the most normal place of all time for a mid 20 something year old dude in Chicago
I moved into it in the fall of 2013 and spent a little over 6 years there. It had it all in that 750 sq ft of living space - a couple of pleather couches, some crooked pictures hanging on the wall and a boxspring/mattress on the floor combo:
Now bend over at the waist and spread your cheeks
The reason I spent so long there was because when we moved in our landlord said "I love when tenants stay here long term so I don't have to deal with moving anyone in/out. I'll never raise the rent on you as long as you live here" so myself and a HS buddy went 6+ years paying $850 or so for rent AND utilities. It was amazing. Finally sacked up and got my own place in Lincoln Park last year though but I miss my old place every day
I'm sure you'll all rip it apart even though it was a perfectly suitable pad. Enjoy!
